【摘要】:Ground-waterflowmodelsaretoolsfrequentlyappliedfortheanalysisofhydrogeologicsystems.Duetothesignificanceofmanydecisionsbaseduponmodelingresults,qualityassurancemeasuresneedtobeappliedtomodelapplications.Completemodeldocumentationisamechanismtoensurethequalityoftheeffort.Severalfederalandstateagencieshavedevelopedpoliciesregardingmodeldocumentation.Thisguideprovidesconsistencyamongstcurrentpolicies,andshouldbeusedasaframeworkformodeldocumentation.1.1Thisguidecoverssuggestedcomponentstobeincludedindocumentingandarchivalofnumericalground-waterflowmodelapplications.Modeldocumentationincludesawrittenandgraphicalpresentationofmodelassumptionsandobjectives,theconceptualmodel,codedescription,modelconstruction,modelcalibration,predictivesimulations,andconclusions.Modelarchivalreferstoafileorsetoffiles(inbothwrittenanddigitalformat)thatcontainslogsofsignificantmodelsimulations(thatis,calibration,sensitivityandpredictionsimulations),supplementalcalculations,modeldocumentation,acopyofthemodelsourcecode(s)orexecutablefile(s)used,orboth,andinputandoutputdatasetsforsignificantmodelsimulations.1.2Thisguidepresentsthemajorstepsinpreparingthedocumentationandarchivalforaground-waterflowmodelapplication.Additionalinformationonground-watermodeldocumentationcanbefoundinEPA-500-B-92-006.1.3Thisguideisspecificallywrittenforsaturated,isothermal,ground-waterflowmodelapplications.Theelementspresentedfordocumentationandarchivalarerelevantandapplicabletoawiderangeofmodeledprocesses(inandoutoftherealmofground-waterflow)andcanbetailoredforthoseapplications.1.4Thisguideisnotintendedtobeallinclusive.Eachmodelapplicationisuniqueandmayrequiresupplementarydocumentationandarchival.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.6Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
