【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedforuseindeterminingthesamplesizerequiredtoestimate,withspecifiedprecision,ameasureofqualityofalotorprocess.Thepracticeapplieswhenqualityisexpressedaseitherthelotaverageforagivenproperty,orasthelotfractionnotconformingtoprescribedstandards.Thelevelofacharacteristicmayoftenbetakenasanindicationofthequalityofamaterial.Ifso,anestimateoftheaveragevalueofthatcharacteristicorofthefractionoftheobservedvaluesthatdonotconformtoaspecificationforthatcharacteristicbecomesameasureofqualitywithrespecttothatcharacteristic.Thispracticeisintendedforuseindeterminingthesamplesizerequiredtoestimate,withspecifiedprecision,suchameasureofthequalityofalotorprocesseitherasanaveragevalueorasafractionnotconformingtoaspecifiedvalue.1.1Thispracticecoverssimplemethodsforcalculatinghowmanyunitstoincludeinarandomsampleinordertoestimatewithaspecifiedprecision,ameasureofqualityforalltheunitsofalotofmaterial,orproducedbyaprocess.Thispracticewillclearlyindicatethesamplesizerequiredtoestimatetheaveragevalueofsomepropertyorthefractionofnonconformingitemsproducedbyaproductionprocessduringthetimeintervalcoveredbytherandomsample.Iftheprocessisnotinastateofstatisticalcontrol,theresultwillnothavepredictivevalueforimmediate(future)production.Thepracticetreatsthecommonsituationwherethesamplingunitscanbeconsideredtoexhibitasingle(overall)sourceofvariability;itdoesnottreatmulti-levelsourcesofvariability.
